Victoria Park Community Homes Inc., Ontario’s largest private, non-profit housing corporation, is committed to providing stable, quality, affordable homes in Hamilton, Brantford, Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and the Regions of Halton and Peel.

The volunteer Board of Directors, which is responsible for the governance of the corporation, is seeking new Board and Committee members who have a strong sense of volunteerism, who play a leadership role in the communities we serve, and who may demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in, but not limited to, the areas of law, social justice, construction, project management, social and community services, and affordable housing. Victoria Park Community Homes Inc. serves a diverse client base and welcomes applications that reflect our clientele.

Working collaboratively with the Management Team, the Board is actively involved in setting strategic priorities and goals based on the vision and mission of the organization. Board and committee meetings are generally held once a month at the head office in Hamilton or electronically. The Board does not meet during July and August.

Term Duration

Directors are eligible to hold office for a 3-year term after which they may express interest in continuing for a second consecutive term for a maximum of 6 years in office.

Committee members are eligible to remain on a committee for one year, after which time they may apply to be a Director, remain on the committee, or resign.
