Victoria Park Community Homes is one of the oldest and largest private non-profit housing corporations in the Province of Ontario. Our portfolio that we own and manage consists of apartments, townhouses and single-family homes located in the City of Hamilton, City of Brantford, Halton Region and Waterloo Region.

Funding Model: Each property we manage consists of a different funding model. Primarily, we facilitate government funded rent assistance through each municipal regions’ centralized waitlists and affordable market rents through our own waitlists for singles, families and seniors.

Rental assistance or Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) housing are all terms for affordable housing where a portion of the rent is subsidized. Victoria Park does not directly provide rental assistance, instead we work with our municipal government partners to provide this form of housing.

To apply for affordable housing, you need to apply through the municipality where you are looking for housing. Below you will find links to each Municipality’s website which identifies how you apply for housing with rental assistance:

Once you complete the application through your Municipality, and your name comes to the top of the waiting list, our staff will contact you to offer a unit.

Please be patient as demand for RGI housing is high and waiting lists are long so the wait may be years.

  1. Review our Properties to determine what you are looking for.
  2. Fill out the Market Rent Waitlist Questionnaire (fillable form)
  3. Send your completed questionnaire to Victoria Park Community Homes

    • By Fax: Fax your completed questionnaire to 905.527.3181

Please note that our market rent units which are at-market or below-market rates when compared to private landlords in the area are often in high demand, and many of our properties maintain waiting lists for the units. When we receive your application, it will be acknowledged and your name will be placed on the waiting list chronologically based on the date that you applied.

When your name comes to the top of the waiting list for the property and the type of unit, you will then be contacted by our Rental Coordinator to complete your application.
